A Second Look at Franchise Opportunities in the Philippines

For years since the early 80’s, the economic outlook in the Philippines was rather gloomy. Most players in the industry are thinking over many times before deciding on investing or upgrading their investments. The worsening scenario in the business sector brought about by inflation, unemployment and unstable political policies scare the international investors. Yet, the far and overlooked side of it was that, the more difficult the situation, the more aggressive the people becomes to innovate and come up with better ideas to survive. This is where creativeness, resourcefulness, assertiveness and perseverance are expressed in everyday business activities. In this part of the world, every inch of an opportunity was very important and cannot be neglected.

The response of the public to go on their own after a tragic lay-off from jobs or the struggle of a simple housewife to help earn for the family had help the economy by putting up small scale businesses providing employment. But this initiative is vulnerable to the strong pressure brought about by competition and monopoly of big players. It was sad that the survival of these small entities was rough, often forced them to close.

The realization of coming up together would be the best option to play against the bigger and more powerful companies in the very competitive environment. The “do or die” approach is needed for survival of small entrepreneurs and the struggle of small businesses to group in order to have better position in the market. Even bigger companies merge to survive the economic crisis that recently hit most part of the world’s economy. Thus, franchising is one of the best option and in fact, the fastest growing industry in the Philippines.

Obviously, referring to Franchising is synonymous with the successful and very popular franchise of Fast Food companies that are leading the industry. Let’s put it simple, their marketing strategies and its connection to the large part of the population is the reason for this success. They hold a certain “spell” that binds the public into one common jingle. Offering the best value (as it looks) to the market of starving income is most appealing during this time.

The Franchising mode is on beat. You can find franchises of any kind. Of course, you have to keep in mind that the success or failure of your business depends on the factors that you should carefully select and study before considering it. You must know how much time you are willing to invest in your franchise. It often requires the knowledge of the process and dedication to improve. The more knowledgeable you are in your chosen franchise would give you an edge to succeed in your chosen business.

Why You Need New Restaurant Equipment?

"Restaurants are equipment-intensive". It is true that no restaurant can be operational without the needed equipments. In fact, it is always dependent on the kinds of equipments being used that spell either success or failure of the business operation. Equipments are always required from the washing area, freezers, coolers, cooking, holding and serving. The wide range of equipment choices would ensure that you can create the product you had conceived and deliver them just the way you want it. Modern equipments are more sophisticated and user friendly. Your staff would love to handle their task with ease and perfection with the help of your new equipments.

The decision to buy a new equipment should always be consider a priority more than cost. Your decisions would require you to consider long-term over short term benefits that your equipments can provide.

Considering a second-hand equipment is a good idea to start your business but in the long run, it will cost more to maintain and upgrade or worst, if a replacement is required sooner than you expect. Not mentioning the downtime and productivity issues it would create.

Most restaurants always consider to buy new equipments because of its built-in advantages. it will always be a good investment for your employees and customers alike to have these new equipments.

Quick Service Restaurants in the Philippines

Generally speaking, the present economic crisis in the Philippines is discouraging investors in the Quick Service Restaurants Sector or Fast Food industry at first glance. However, if you look at the details of this business and the creativity of Filipinos in doing business would make you think again and find yourself indulge in this very promising business in the Philippines.

Basically, Filipinos are very hospitable, fun and sociable; the reason why in spite of all other activities you can do under the sun, you can still count on dining out as one of the activities that makes friends and families closer. There is no shopping or reunion of friends completed without a sip of iced tea or food or beer for that matter. There are happenings in every corner even work mates after a hectic or stressful office. Of course, a weekend of escapades to hidden resorts with your friends would enliven your tired and bored life in the office.

The reality is, food is one of the basic needs for us to survive. Filipinos, one of those who can creatively present and modify menus, food theme or a mixture of fun activities to entertain customers while eating (You had at least visited one of the places along Roxas Boulevard to appreciate this, very popular with their singing cooks and waiters and food presented in native and traditional Filipino way).

Today, there are still options that needs to be discovered. A real solution to fit the Filipino market. We had seen a lot of successful franchises in this industry brought by international companies and few of our local companies which are undeniably top in the industry. This only shows that our own style and complexities would be the best to capitalize in order to be successful in this business.
